So I had a very unfulfilling experience with making Christmas ornaments last night. I got the recipe from www.kraftfoods.com and they idea seemed too brilliant to be true. Well, it was indeed. The ornaments are made by taking lifesavers candies adn arranging them in cute patterns, then baking them for several minutes until they get semi-soft and gel together. Then you're supposed to stick a straw in the top for the hole so you can hang it. This is all much more easier said than done. First of all, if you leave the ornaments in the oven for even 25 seconds too long, they turn into kool aid on the baking sheet. The liquid runs everywhere and the ornament becomes shapeless. Second, it's easy to stick the straw in the top of the hot liqiudy candy, but trying to get it out is another story. By the time it's cool enough to take out, the candy has become hard and very fragile. You can easily break the entire ornament from pulling the straw out, and you also get little tiny spiderweb-like threads of candy all over the place. Pictured below are the results of my escapade. Enjoy!

The wreath came out cute...the candycane in the far left turned into liquid...and the tree just looked stupid.

Hey Ya.

I just got home from work. I threw up today- 3 times. I thought it was morning sickness, but it might not be. My son has been puking since 2 in the morning. He's taking a nap right now, and if he still has a fever when he wakes up, I am taking him to the ER. My poor baby. He's been sick for over a week now and it seems to have gotten MUCH worse in the last 24 hours. I don't feel so swell myself but I took some tylenol and I feel a teensy bit better.

Tonight the kids and I are making lifesavers ornaments. It's really cool, you basically line up lifesavers on a baking sheet in the shape of whatever you want, in our case it's candy canes adn wreaths, then you bake them till they goo together. Then while they are still warm, you take a straw and punch a hole at the top for the string to go through. I also made homemade chicken and dumplings last night. I felt very suzie homemaker, and they were delish.

I am still itchy all over, and I read it's a sign of a liver problem-UH OH. That's how it allllll started with Hollie. I definitely do not need another micro preemie baby. My doctor thinks we can wait till 5 days before my due date to do the c-section. I seriously doubt I will go that long. Bubba was a month early, and I was already having contractions the day I had him. My next doctors appointment is on January 14th. I am excited to tell him all of the wretched thigns that I have been experiencing since my first visit that seems so long ago.

Well..I really need to find a new blog layout. I am sick of this one. I wanted to do Christmas, but BAH, too much work for just a couple more days.
Later Taters.

Recipe for Buckeyes

2 cups peanut butter, smooth or crunchy
1 stick of margarine, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients together. If too wet, add extra powdered sugar. Roll mixture into balls with your hands, place them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper, and freeze for 15 minutes.

1 package chocolate bark coating OR
1 package chocolate chips 1/2 cake paraffin

If you don't use bark coating then melt the chocolate chips and paraffin in a heavy pan. Or heat the bark coating until melted.
Stick a toothpick into the cold buckeyes and dip into the melted chocolate. Almost cover the candy with chocolate, leaving one spot with the peanut butter exposed. Place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Put in freezer until they are set (about 15 minutes). Enjoy!

These are sooooooo good. I am making them today.

Hello all of you imaginary blog fans out there.

I am about to be 10 weeks pregnant and I feel like crap. My husband isn't being the most cheerful person to be around lately either. In fact, it seems that everyone is annoying me- a LOT. My little sister found out a couple days ago that she's pregnant too. I have to move out of her house ASAP, because with our last children, we were pregnant at the same time and we were constantly clawing at eachothers throats, and we didn't even live together back then.

My poor son has diarrhea today. He's gone through every diaper in the house, and we're about to go to Wal-Mart to buy some more. I hope he doesn't poo while we're there. He wouldn't even eat breakfast, he doesn't feel good at all. I hate it when my babies are sick.

Training at work is good, we finished out week 2. I like it there a lot.

I have been SO busy lately! I am now in training at my new job, the glamorous T-Mobile. I am in my second week and I hardly have time to breathe. Training is 7 weeks long, so I have a lot more to go, but that pack so much information in these 7 weeks that it makes your head spin. I am starting to feel slightly pregnant now, with my ever expanding waistline and my quesy tummy every morning. I also have the wonderful zap of sciatica to remind me of my condition on a daily basis. My condition, haha. I'm an invalid now apparently.

I made Philly Cheese Steaks for dinner tonight. The kids gobbled them up, and so did the adults. The whole house smells of delicious carmelized onions and seasoned bits of steak. Carie and I are going to have a culinary adventure tonight when we make Buckeyes. They are basically peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate. YUM.

That's really all I have to say right now, my life revolves around food.
