Well we had a fun filled weekend. On Saturday we were supposed to go see an Air Show, but got there too late and missed all the fun. So we went to see the movie Madagascar instead as a family. The kids were angelic in the theatre as usual, but the movie really blew chunks. I do not recommend it whatsoever, I would never watch it again. What really irked me is that the previews were SOOOOO hilarious, they really trumped up the movie a lot more than it deserved. The kids were mildly entertained by it though, but I'm not sure that the popcorn and Sprite they were happily munching on wasn't really what was keeping them content.

On Sunday we went to church as usual, but halfway through sacrament this kamikaze little girl (not in our ward) comes flying in through one of the side doors and proceeds to scream like a banshee and run around in the front of the chapel. I was amused, and kept thinking that this little girl looked familiar. Well, a second later poor Patty pops her head in and motions for me and Chunk to grab Katie LOL! I swear you see chat people everywhere sometimes. Turns out her ward meets in the same building as ours, just before us. SO Chunk grabbed Katoe and escorted her back out into the foyer where her poor mom was trying to hold the baby and keep control of the wild woman at the same time. So sacrament continues, and a few minutes later, Kamikaze Katie comes tearing through the chapel again, this time running up to the stand and running around our bishop who looked extremely confused lol. This time I grabbed her and went out in the hall and talked with Patty a little bit. It was so funny, I hope everyone else found it as amusing as I did.
It was fast and testimony meeting, and we've been promising Hollie that she could go up and bear her testimony at the next one. She's been BEGGING to go up there, but we were hesitant to let her because we were honestly terrified of what she would say (for example-my daddy pooped today, mommy yells at daddy sometimes etc) LOL. So we told her if she would start bearing her testimony at home for a little bit, then she could. Well this child has blown our minds. She gets up on the fireplace bricks and pretends to hold a microphone and bears her testimony all the time. She says things we didn't even know she knew. She tells us Joseph Smith saw angels and he was a prophet, and that she knows the church is true, and that Jesus is the son of God and she loves and misses him. It's incredible to see how close children are to Heavenly Father. So after the time was turned over for testimonies, Chunk took Hollie right up there. The poor girl was so little that even with the stool and lowering the stand all the way, you couldnt even see the top of her little head, so Chunk held her up. We can't stand it when parents coach their kids on what to say up there, so he remained silent and waited for Hollie to say whatever she wanted. She was very nervous looking around the congregation, and I really thought she was going to choke and want to get down. But then she looked up and said "I like to bear my testimony. long pause....I know the church is true, and I love my Mommy and Daddy, In a name of Jesus Christ, Amen." And she hops down and takes off RUNNING to me with a huge grin on her face yelling "I bear my testimony Mommy!!!!". We high fived and then sat down and listened to Chunks testimony. It was adorable, I am so proud of my little munchkin.

After church we headed up to Broomfield to visit QueenMum and Grandpa, and had a great time. They stuffed us full of yummy food as usual, and QueenMum had a surprise for me, she bought me these really AWESOME high powered magnets to use in my magnet crafts I make. She also had made some little picture books with sticker pages and stuff for the kids to have on their airplane trip. The kids had a blast playing with Grandpa downstairs with the yoga balls and the basket of care-bears they keep down there, while Chunk and I had a good time talking with QueenMum upstairs. Grandpa also took the kids out in the garden, and let them pick their own little tiny strawberries. They really liked that a lot, especially eating them. We had a good trip.
We were just a little bummed that Chunks brother didn't show up. He knew we were coming, and had even said he would stop by, but 10 pm rolled around and we couldn't wait anymore, since it's a 2 hour drive back to our house.

Today Hollie and Bubba have a dentist appointment, and I have to go get ready for that now, but I am in a very bloggery mood, so I might just write about how that went later. :)
